ooh thank you for bringing this neal pollack s#$% to my attention. pre-k access is my work and assholes like pollack are not helping one bit. this study of kid's getting booted from pre-k is actually serious and he screws it up with, just as you said, his self-aggrandisement and inability to deal effectively with his kid's problems and wants to put them on the preschool. gah, i hate those whiney bastards!

Yecccch. I read the essay too after reading your post. He is absolutely hideous in his blindness about their own hateful attitude toward their child and I agree with you, people like that shouldn't have kids. So many feel like they have to do what everybody else is doing, even when it's not right for them. But you can't "return" a kid! Very sad for Elijah and other small people like him.

Oh my god. This pissed me off so much because these are parents refusing to take any responsibility for their child's behaviour. It is up to child care professionals to do. I don't think so. I am dealing with a difficult child in my class right now and the parent just tells me, "I don't know what to do, it's the video games, I guess I'll tell his counselor." I have 33 to deal with. She has one. These people suck.
