Quick-like knitting stuff: I'm working on Cosmopolitan from the Jo Sharp Village book. Bought the yarn and pattern ages and ages ago at Webs, but it sort of got shoved to the back of the crowd. I've finished the right front and am working quickly up the left, it's a quick knit! I am reasonably sure I'll have to shorten the sleeves as it seems my gague loosened up (fucking mohair) and I may run out of yarn. They didn't have any extra skeins when I bought it and the color was too much prettyprettyprettiness to pass up. (It's 605, for the record.)
Also, while in NYC, my friend Alison and I went to Knit NY and I bought some Koigu KPPM. It's colors 136 (green) and 508 (orange) for socks. I thought maybe for Mr. Pink, but really, I have suspected for a long while that he doesn't really like the knitted stuff. I don't know. I will say, it was fun to actually get to pick from loads of colors of KPPM for a change rather than the "uh, whatever you have two of, I guess" colorway I usually end up with up here in Hellsville.
Finally, I leave you with a random-but-non-knitting photo: I think that my shoe purchase today is all together too optimistic given the weather forecast over the next forever, but...jaunty, no? I recall spring coming last year sometime around late June, but here's for hoping for a miracle.
