I was reading the Salon piece on the new Malcolm Gladwell book and followed this link to Project Implicit. It's a slightly disturbing study you can participate in (by clicking on the "research" tab) and it measures your subconscious reactions to various things/people. Apparently, I really, really love Princess Diana...way more than I love Mother Teresa. I had no idea!

You should love Di more than Mother Teresa. The princess had a deep compassion for the suffering of the common people, while Mother Teresa felt that to suffer was divine -- she tended to the poor and sick, but she never spent any of those billions of dollars she collected on actually alleviating their physical suffering.
Of course Princess Diana dressed better too.

Oh my God, Jojo, have you been reading that old Christopher Hitchens article? (I had meant to mention that in the main body of the post, actually, how now Hitch and I have something in common! We both hate Mother Teresa!)
And yes, obviously, Princess Di did have way awesome clothes! Good point!

I got the Bush/Kerry implicit association test. It seems I have a moderate automatic preference for Kerry relative to Bush. WTF? Only Moderate?? haha.
