Through some strange twist of fate, I am stranded in Boston the weekend of the NFL draft.  I don't know what cruel joke this is, what kind of fickle fate...scheduling a work thing that will keep me away from ESPN for the entirety of Saturday and Sunday, but there ya go.

In hot anticipation of either the beginning of next season or the end of last season (I can never decide), I shall leave you with my personal favorite Onion article from 2008 thus far: Patriots' Season Perfect for Rest of Nation.  Good God yes!

As we go into the next round of hockey playoffs, I'll direct you Penguins fans to this list of Mike Lange sayings...awww, homesick!  Also, wooo, Pens!

I've got to confess, I will miss you, Pennsylvania primary!  It has been kind of nice seeing all the beauty shots of my homeland, and actually, I don't know, hearing about the plight of areas abandoned by our politicians while the jobs of the middle class are sent overseas, leaving folks struggling with healthcare bills and the death of their first-born from mortar fire in Baghdad.

Oh, and of course, the vital issue of who wears a flag pin and when, no doubt every bit as important.

Hey, Obama, you know I love you, right, dude?  But WTF was that remark this weekend about McCain being a better  potential President than Bush?  I am going to beg to differ, mmkay? In both form and substance, I find them to be equally heinous.

(Also, P.S., buddy: probs not the best argument to put out there for the general election either.)

Mr. Pink sent me this link, remarking, "It is possible that microtargeted marketing has reached a single-user audience here...that audience being me?"  Hee.

If the weather weren't so lovely, darlings, I'd recommend that you spend your Saturday morning reading this really interesting Marc Jacobs interview, then watching this lovely Marc Jacobs documentary.  Taking them together you can really start to get somewhere, I think.

(And I am thinking about this, of course, because last night I thoughtlessly wore my favorite Marc dress to a hair appointment and was wracked with anxiety that brown dye would seep through the, like, 3 towels and the jacket thingie I insisted on.  And I realized, if anything ever happens to that dress, which is now, uhm, 3 seasons old at least, I will have to make it my full time job to find it on eBay, or scouring secondhand stores on the East Coast and blah blah, it will consume my life.  I had worked myself into such a state over the idea of brown dye getting on this dress, I like, ran home to inspect every inch of it JUST TO MAKE SURE.  So, yes, I am myself perhaps a little over-invested in the genius of Marc Jacobs.)

Since I've already consumed both the article and the documentary, this weekend I will have BBQ insanity  and drink beer and watch the boys play "Guitar Hero," and possibly bowl.  Woo, see you shortly, Jen & Stephen!
